What is ISO/IEC 27001, in simple terms?

ISO/IEC 27001 is the global reference standard for implementing an Information Security Management System (ISMS). It defines processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, with a risk-based approach and continuous improvement. The current version structures 93 controls grouped into 4 domains (organizational, people, physical, and technological).

In our case, the current certificate is issued in accordance with UNE‑EN ISO/IEC 27001:2023.
